WebAssign

We will be using WebAssign for our Pre-Calc online homework assignments. Many universities use this platform for course work, so it will be great to get experience while still in high school :)

To sign up, go to:  https://www.webassign.com/

Click on Enter Class Key

Enter (just copy and paste): 2nd block: pkwynorth.mo 6388 2607

That's it!

Pre-Req Retakes

When getting your Pre-Req test back, please write down the problem # of each missed problem, on an index card, or notebook paper.

Students that qualified for test corrections can complete their test corrections in lab.

Students needing to retake can practice their missed problems by referring to the 3 practice tests, as well as the extra pre-req work link. When you are ready to retake (and can show evidence of sufficient prep), you may retake during lab.

Pre-Req test grades will be put in at 5 weeks. In this way, an "M" will go into Infinite Campus a week before the end of 6-week grades as a reminder :)

Pre-Req Work for 2017-18 Students

Thank you to the many students who emailed with questions about the summer work (getting ready for the pre-req test). Here are the important things to know:

1. If you are accessing our blog on your phone, please scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on view web version.  Doing so will allow you to see the full blog, where you will find  the pre-req prep on the top left.

2. I will NOT be collecting any work that you do (or don't do!), as far as pre-req prep goes. Some students may need just a quick review, while others will need to watch the video tutorial and do all three practice tests in order to be ready. Know thyself.

3. Some students are reporting that they were not told about this at the end of last year. If you are one of these students, please know that it will all be okay. Out of the 20 questions on the pre-req test, 16 are from Algebra 1 and only 4 are from Algebra 2. There's still plenty of time to prepare and be ready to ace the test.

4. Why start the year with a pre-req test (on the second day of class)?  The majority of  past Pre-Calc students fly through this test and start off their semester with high "A" grades. The few who do not will receive extra support right away so that they can find success in Pre-Calc.

Hope that helped.

See you soon!
